New Patients
Dr. DeAmicis is not accepting new patients at this time however, Miguel Peixoto and Shanna Chow are at this time.
Becoming a New Patient
Thank you for your interest in becoming a patient at Medical Healthcare Specialists. Prior to scheduling a new patient appointment with one of our providers, we must first gather necessary information and receive your previous medical records.
Insurance Information
We accept many commercial insurance plans. However, please note that we do not accept plans through the Health Connector/MassHealth, with the exception of Fallon Community Care.
We strongly encourage all patients to verify directly with their insurance company that the following providers are in-network prior to scheduling:

You should also confirm that Medical Healthcare Specialists is listed as an in-network provider location in your insurance directory.
Medical Records Requirement
We request that all previous medical records be received prior to scheduling your first appointment. This allows our providers to review your medical history and allot adequate time for your initial visit.
Medical records may be sent by mail or fax. Once records have been received and reviewed, a member of our staff will contact you to schedule your new patient appointment.
After Scheduling Your Appointment
Once your appointment has been scheduled, it is important that you select the following with your insurance company:
• Medical Healthcare Specialists
• Dr. Richard DeAmicis
• Miguel Peixoto, DNP-NPC
This helps ensure your visits are processed correctly through your insurance plan.
